I don't know if it was an error or what, but the deal only lasted like 8 hrs on 9-29. The 3 books in the Hunger Games series were on sale for $4.38.bordergalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07498045249436501066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354429728039534096.post-44898970161557384692011-10-05T00:53:53.733-07:002011-10-05T00:53:53.733-07:00Becky,

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on these books.

April & Bordergal,

'Splain please; I see The Hunger Games Trilogy being sold for $17.85 on my Kindle. Did I miss an awesome sale? (I'm trying to get my mom to read the trilogy.)

And, Bordergirl, I will definitely be thinking of both you and your sister! Sending all good vibes her way!

Kat,

Did you know that Chris Moore is doing a thing here in SF next Monday for Litquake? I've already got a ticket if you're interested in joining me.

SL,

You are reading some awesome books these days. I'm so glad you enjoyed The 12th Enchantment. You're immersed in all things Austen-esque these days. Well, maybe not Ready Player One. I can't wait to hear what you think of it! I think (hope) you will really enjoy it.

I'm glad to hear your thoughts on Heidegger's Glasses. I've had it on my Kindle for a while now and really want to get around to reading it one of these days. Would you believe it was a Kindle freebie just a few months after it was published in hardback? I don't know what that was about, but I grabbed it.

Oh, glad you enjoyed Alter of Eden, too. You've become quite the fan. Did you see that The Judas Strain is on sale on Kindle for $1.99? I snatched it. I mean, if he went to the trouble of torturing me for several hundred pages (the bastard), the least I can do is keep a copy on my Kindle, LOL.Susan Tunishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17393038397678961337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354429728039534096.post-45377723096171737962011-10-04T18:41:23.578-07:002011-10-04T18:41:23.578-07:00I also took advantage of the Kindle deal on the &#...I also took advantage of the Kindle deal on the 'Hunger Games' trilogy and I am just losing a lot of sleep, they are great. I also have 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' and 'Unbroken' for this week. I know that's a lot of books but I will have the time because my sister is having surgery for a knee replacement and I should have plenty of time to read at the hospital. I hope you all can say a little prayer for her. Thanks!!!bordergalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07498045249436501066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354429728039534096.post-66279084778995611292011-10-04T05:31:03.030-07:002011-10-04T05:31:03.030-07:00My most recent finishes are David Liss's The T...My most recent finishes are David Liss's The Twelfth Enchantment (loved it, and surprisingly not the first to include Byron as a character in recent books though I can't remember the other) and Heidegger's Glasses by Thaisa Frank, a different approach to WWII/the Holocaust and a compulsive read. I had to put it down to read Twelfth Enchantment in about 3 or 4 days (very fast for me) to avoid late fees at the library.
Hahahaha. I also zipped through Jimbo's Altar of Eden.

I'm now reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (which I'm loving for the humor combined with Austen style) and Ready Player One (just started).Sara Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18257302421725766079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354429728039534096.post-42931677518336542092011-10-04T01:41:08.681-07:002011-10-04T01:41:08.681-07:00Still reading Bloodsucking fiends by Christopher M...Still reading Bloodsucking fiends by Christopher Moore - am really enjoying it!
KatAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12314135874322294123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354429728039534096.post-86770532022307900202011-10-03T19:45:40.140-07:002011-10-03T19:45:40.140-07:00Wonderful mailbox.
